A wrap is only as good as the prep under it

Most wrap failures in El Paso are not vinyl failures. They are prep failures. Vinyl needs a chemically clean, defect-free surface to bond to, and our desert climate stacks the deck against it: fine Chihuahuan Desert dust settles into panel gaps, hard water leaves mineral spotting, and summer surface temperatures on a dark hood regularly clear 160°F. Lay film over any of that and you get lifted edges within a season.

Because we are a full body shop first and a wrap shop second, we handle what a wrap-only installer has to turn away. If a panel has a dent, a bad respray, clear-coat failure or overspray from a previous repair, we fix the panel properly before a single inch of vinyl comes off the roll. That is the difference between a wrap that lasts five years and one you are peeling in eighteen months.

• Full color-change wraps — every painted exterior panel, with film tucked into door jambs and edges so no factory color shows at the seams.
• Partial wraps — hood, roof, mirrors, trunk or a two-tone treatment when you want the look without the full cost.
• Chrome delete — window trim, grilles, badges and pillars converted to gloss or satin black.
• Printed custom graphics — racing stripes, livery, camo, fades and full printed designs.
• Specialty finishes — satin, matte, gloss metallic, color-shift, brushed metal and carbon fiber textures.
• Roof and pillar wraps — the fast, low-cost way to fake a panoramic or floating roof.
• Wrap removal — safe heat-assisted removal and adhesive cleanup, including failed wraps installed elsewhere.

How the job actually runs

1. Walkaround and quote. We measure the vehicle, note existing paint defects, and quote the film square footage honestly. No guessing off a phone photo.
2. Paint correction if needed. Dents, chips and clear-coat issues get addressed first. Vinyl magnifies flaws, it never hides them.
3. Full decontamination. Wash, clay, solvent wipe, and a final IPA pass on every bonding surface.
4. Disassembly. Handles, mirrors, badges, lights and trim come off so film wraps behind edges instead of stopping at them.
5. Installation. Panel by panel, heat-formed into recesses and body lines.
6. Post-heating. Every stretched area and recess is post-heated past the film's memory point. Skip this step and El Paso summer heat will pull the vinyl back out of your body lines.
7. Reassembly and cure. The vehicle sits before pickup, and you get written aftercare.

Wrap or repaint?

A wrap is reversible, protects the factory paint underneath, and opens up finishes no paint booth can produce — satin, color-shift, printed graphics. Paint is permanent, survives rock strikes better, and is the right answer when the underlying finish is already failing. If your clear coat is peeling from El Paso sun exposure, wrapping over it just buys time; that panel needs refinishing first.
