Paintless dent repair, and when it is not an option
Paintless dent repair (PDR) works the metal back to shape from behind the panel using specialized rods and controlled pressure. Nothing is filled, sanded or sprayed, so your factory paint stays factory. That matters for resale, and it is faster and cheaper than conventional bodywork.
PDR is the right call when the paint is unbroken, the dent is not on a hard body line, and the metal has not been stretched past recovery. It is not the right call when the paint is cracked or chipped, when the dent sits on a sharp crease or panel edge, or when there is no access behind the panel. We will tell you which category yours is at the estimate rather than starting a PDR job we cannot finish.
What we fix
- Door dings — the classic tight-parking-lot damage.
- Hail damage — full-panel dimpling on hoods, roofs and trunk lids.
- Creases and body-line dents — harder, slower, still often repairable.
- Shopping cart and bicycle strikes.
- Minor collision dents — low-speed impacts with no paint damage.
- Panel dents with paint damage — conventional repair plus refinishing and blending.
Hail in El Paso is a real, seasonal risk
People assume the desert means no hail. El Paso's monsoon season, roughly July through September, produces exactly the kind of fast-building convective storms that drop hail, and a single afternoon cell can dimple every horizontal panel on hundreds of vehicles across the East Side or Northeast. Hail is covered under comprehensive coverage, which usually means no fault assigned and no rate impact for the claim itself — but you should confirm with your carrier.
After a storm, out-of-state "storm chaser" outfits set up in parking lots, take the insurance money, and are gone before the paint fails. We have been at 4034 Harrison Ave for over twenty years. If something goes wrong you know exactly where to find us. Read what to do after hail damage in El Paso, and see how we handle the claim.
